Dr. Marissa Moreno
Dr. Marissa Moreno is the Interim Associate Vice President of Student Services and the Executive Director of School & College Partnerships at Lee College in Baytown, Texas.
Dr. Moreno serves as the chief strategist in amplifying students' experiences through navigational processes of attending college and collaborative work with faculty to ensure students are successful.
In her Interim role, she leads the Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Success Center, Testing, and TRiO EOC teams. In addition, Dr. Moreno oversees the Recruitment/Outreach, Advising & Transfer Programs, Dual Credit Programs, Shared College Coordinators, and Student Employment & Career Services departments, ensuring a seamless pipeline approach is intact for students starting as early as middle school.
More recently, she serves as a Vice-Chair for the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP) - Research Commission, where she works and presents with top researchers in the areas of dual credit and concurrent enrollment, researching policy across the nation.
In addition, Dr. Moreno supports dual enrollment research through her active participation with the NACEP community. She completed her Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Houston-Main Campus, publishing two articles about dual credit and Early College High Schools in the Community College Journal of Research and Practice.
